What if the next time you get something – something that hurts or burns inside…what if you went through it? What if you didn’t push it down or try to get rid of it? What if you didn’t feel guilty about how you felt and just let it all come out? In a safe space. Maybe your journal, maybe with your mother, or a therapist or a coach?
What if instead of banishing these feelings, making them to be wrong or being afraid of feeling all of it – what if you let those feelings just run their course?
Our feelings are meant to be felt. Good, bad, horrible, heart breaking, angry, deep, scary. No matter how they come up, I ask you to acknowledge them. Acknowledge those feelings, identify them. Don’t try to change them, don’t feel bad about them coming up. Let them rise and fall and rise again. Get curious about them – ask them what they’re trying to tell you. See what is true for you.
When you’re ready, see these feelings with love. See yourself and your life with love.
In this moment I want you to honor yourself. Don’t worry about anybody else’s opinion for just a moment. What is authentic for you? What is true for you? How can you honor her(him)?
Take a deep breath and let it go. Let your feelings move in whatever direction they want to. Let them subside if they are ready and let them rise if they are rising. Be with it all.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Be here with these feelings. Acknowledge this sacred moment. Be in this sacred moment.
You are growing and shifting. Give love to the growth.
Give love to yourself.
You are here and trying. You are doing such a good job.
Thank you for honoring yourself.
You’re doing great.
